Tara is a creative writer and storyteller hailing from Seattle, USA. After leaving her tech job in 2017, she bought a one-way ticket out of the country and hasn't returned since. Tara holds a degree in Journalism from the University of Washington and has been featured in numerous travel publications around the world. She's lived in China, Italy and Greece, but currently spends most of her time in the beer-loving capital of Munich, Germany.
Ian is a freelance writer and tour guide currently based in Edinburgh, Scotland. He has also lived in Portugal and New Zealand, He regularly travels to anywhere that fits his budget - with a particular interest in Eastern Europe and Taiwan. Aside from travel writing he specialises in writing about LGBT issues, visual content production and the whisky industry. He has previously collaborated with tourism organisations such as the New Zealand Mountain Council, Eurostar and KLM, as well as provided photography services to tour companies in Edinburgh and Lisbon.
Ki has been nomadically traveling since the age of nineteen and has enjoyed adventures such as hiking to Machu Picchu, flying over the Nazca lines, surfing on the beaches of Brazil, and snorkeling in coral reefs in Borneo. Combining a passion for travel with a love of writing, Ki has written articles for a number of high profile travel blogs including The Broke Backpacker, and hopes that future trips will inspire even more writing ventures.
Carly’s travels began when she ventured into the jungles of Sumatra as part of her career working with orangutans around a decade ago. Those first adventures were so intoxicating that she left New Zealand to base herself in Sumatra and begin the life of digital nomadism. With a lifelong passion for animals and the written word, Carly is stoked to be able to travel, work with animals, and work as a freelance writer and editor. Clay is a graduate journalism student from the United States but currently lives in Edinburgh, Scotland, the country he calls his second home. He is an avid adventurer and is always keen on discovering his next big trip.
